Procore Technologies, Inc. has announced an expanded Procore AI experience that includes a new set of AI agents built into the Procore platform and supported by embedded Datagrid intelligence. The new tools are intended to help customers complete tasks, coordinate workflows and respond to project activity in real time.
Procore AI is based on construction data and is designed to provide project context within the software environment. Combined with the embedded Datagrid intelligence layer, the system is intended to bring AI tools into routine project workflows and help teams reduce manual tasks and manage information more efficiently.
Construction projects often involve labor constraints, productivity pressures and large volumes of information spread across specifications, drawings, RFIs and other project documents. Procore AI is designed to automate some workflow steps in areas such as submittals, RFIs and contract review to help teams process information and move work forward.
Unlike chatbot-style tools that are limited to answering questions, Procore’s agent-based AI includes two core capabilities:
- Actions: Allow agents to perform steps inside Procore and connected systems, such as updating records, generating documents and coordinating workflows.
- Triggers: Allow agents to respond automatically to events in Procore, such as new submittals, RFIs or change orders, based on project context and user-defined rules.
AI agents for construction workflows
Procore AI is designed to give users access to a growing set of AI agents and workflow tools within the software they already use. The system is intended to reduce setup complexity and support task automation inside existing project processes.
The platform uses human review as part of the workflow and is designed to support administrative tasks rather than replace project decision-making. Responses include citations to source documents and project records, and agent actions require human approval before completion. Example agents include:
- Deep Search Agent: Searches specifications, drawings and RFIs within Procore. It compiles relevant references, highlights possible conflicts and links to source files.
- Submittal Reviewer Agent: Reviews submittals against project specifications, creates review summaries and flags discrepancies within the submittal record.
- RFI Agent: Reviews RFIs for completeness and clarity, suggests edits and attaches related documents.
- Daily Log Agent: Uses photos, emails and voice notes to draft daily logs in Procore for user review and finalization.
- Contract Review Agent: Reviews contracts, drawings and specifications to identify possible conflicts and add comments for follow-up.
Datagrid embedded in the Procore platform is currently in private beta. Broader availability and additional AI capabilities are expected to begin this summer as paid offerings. Existing Datagrid Pro and Enterprise products remain available, with pricing based on a credit consumption model.
