Allplan expands AI features across global projects

Allplan, a provider of BIM design-to-build software for the architecture, engineering and construction industry and part of the Nemetschek Group, announced increased use of its AI-enabled platform across building and infrastructure projects worldwide. The platform combines BIM workflows with AI-based visualization, automated modeling and cloud collaboration to support project teams as they design and coordinate complex work.

Customer projects

Allplan’s platform is used by teams in architecture, structural engineering, civil engineering and precast detailing. It supports AI-assisted design decisions and coordination across the project lifecycle.

Structural engineering

  • OMNITURM Frankfurt (Germany): Reinforced concrete modeling and detailing for a mixed-use project.
  • Airship Hangar Mühlheim (Germany): BIM-based workflows used to address complex reinforcement requirements.
  • Zaha Hadid Tower (Italy): 3D modeling used to address torsional planning requirements for a high-rise project.

Architecture

  • Macherei Berlin-Kreuzberg (Germany): BIM workflows used to support architectural requirements for an urban development.
  • Open-air Museum Gateway, Detmold (Germany): Planning for a CO₂-neutral gateway structure.
  • Giessen Tower (Switzerland): BIM planning used for a high-rise project.

Civil and infrastructure

  • Evros Bridge (Greece): Bridge modeling and coordination for a civil infrastructure project.
  • Altona Tunnel (Germany): Parametric tunnel design used to support complex geometry and coordination.
  • Cetin Dam (Turkey): BIM workflows used on an RCC dam project.

Precast engineering

  • Allianz Stadium (Austria): Precast element modeling used to support construction planning.

AI-enabled capabilities

Allplan said it is expanding AI features for concept visualization, automated design assistance and cloud collaboration. The company said these tools can help teams move through early design stages, improve model quality and identify issues earlier to reduce rework and support more consistent project delivery.
